Smartvue S9Q32 - 320GB Server Review

Great little package. Setup is incredibly easy, and viewing the camera's anywhere via the internet works well.
The company support is superb and responsive. They seem to be improving the product via firmware releases regularly.

It does run quite hot, and I was surprised by this. But I was assured this was the case. It does make me a little concerned for the hard drive longevity. And I don't currently know of the hard drive can be replaced by me or not when that time comes.

Package came with 4 camera licenses, but they immediately bumped it up to 10.

All in all, a solid little product that deserves the attention it has received.

Inmarsat IsatPhone Pro Review

The Inmarsat system provides smooth and crisp sound quality, and even though the satellite is not exactly in low earth orbit (Iridium) the delay is not an issue.. if you really want to complain about latency.. try VOIP over VSAT.. ouch. The Bluetooth feature is great for setting the handset down someplace stable and doing your normal pace around the phone while talking (not that the phone can't move.. it does just fine) The standby and talk times are great too so your wallet will dry up before your battery does. The construction of the handset has rubberized offsets in all the right places and it has a combat ready feel to it.

EMAIL.. So cool, email right from the handset.. no apps or PC with sail mail or Xgate!! And free inbound SMS using the Inmarsat site..

As with all satellites Phones there is a wait to connect.. Iridium you wait for a bird to pass over and Inmarsat you wait for the GPS fix for the spot beam, but unlike Iridium this sucker will hold on to a call like a junkyard dog... no dropped calls. Rates are another story.. SATCOMs are pricey but beware as Inmarsat has jacked up their rates for low end subscribers.. I do a $100/month postpaid so it did not affect me but I understand that some with prepaid cards got the values adjusted... low blow Inmarsat..

Also I recommend the Satstation Mini Blue handset for this.. a must if you want to walk and talk.

I searched high and low looking for the perfect "package". This one did not let me down. The kit was less than suggested retail to my door. The most important thing I was looking for was a 32gb class 10 card to accompany my new camera and this package was it. Everything is in working order except I cant figure out how to get the remote to work. This is by no means top quality accessories however you really get a lot for less then the retail price of the camera. Do yourself a favor and look no further than this kit here!

BDI Valera 9723 Single Wide Low Open TV Stand (Chocolate Stained Walnut) Review

I needed a stand that swiveled, wasn't too big or too high, and could be put in the corner of the room. A lot of research led me to this stand and I am so happy with it. The only design change I'd make would be to have the glass shelves not protrude so much past the edge of the cabinet. You don't need them to be that deep to store components. But other than that I wouldn't make any changes. The stand is beautiful and highly functional, and you can hardly ask for more than that.
It was easy to put together, and the back of the unit offers some cable control. You can also adjust the swivel to make the stand stationary, to limit the swivel to 30 degrees, or to have a 360 swivel.
