When I received my Trekker Breeze, I was in heaven! I had trained on it previously with an orientation and mobility instructor, and i knew I should have one! Lightweight, yet durable, advanced, yet easy to use, it is exactly what its name implies, a breeze! The keypad consists of nine rubber buttons, each of which has a secondary function when pressed and held. Each button has its unique shape to easily identify it. Other features include a leather case with a clip and shoulder strap, an external loudspeaker to enable you to hear the device over heavy traffic, a companion CD that includes the Map Manager software, a quick start guide in large print, and a CD containing a professionally recorded reading of the Breeze user guide. Not sure what each button does? Never fear! Key describer is here! Just press and hold the repeat button for two seconds until you hear a beep. Then press any button on the device and receive a quick verbal reminder! Concerned about battery life? WIth up to 8 hours of usage time, it's sure to last on those long trips, but wait! There's more! Are you concerned about updating your maps and software? Worry no more! The Breeze comes with the map of your area installed, but when updates are available for them, provided you live in the U.S, they are now free of charge! My only warning is that you should be patient when you first turn your Breeze on.
