THE TELESCOPE TUBE WAS A GREAT ITEM. I COULD SEE JUPITOR WITH ITS RINGS AND 4 OF ITS MOONS. THE TRIPOD IS BEING REPLACED WITH A HEAVY DUTY MODEL INSTEAD. I DIDN'T THINK THAT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE TRIPOD WAS HEAVY ENOUGH FOR THE TORQUE RATIO OF THE TELESCOPE TUBE, AND REPLACING IT. ITS HARD TO FIND A GOOD PERFORMING TRIPOD FOR THIS SIZE OF TELESCOPE TUBE.I DID REPLACE THE TRIPOD WITH THE EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC MR TWILIGHT II, AND HAS THE DOUBLE "T" BAR FOR 2 TELESCOPES. VERY STABLE MOUNT, FOR MY 2 TELESCOPES. I HAVE A SECOND SMALLER 80MM TELESCOPE THAT IS MY SUPER FINDERSCOPE BRINGING OBJECTS CLOSER TO VIEW. I USED THE OLD COUNTERWEIGHTS TO BALANCE THE 80MM SCOPE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE "T" BAR, AND EXTRA WEIGHT AT THE LOWER VIEWING END OF THE XLT 150MM TELESCOPE TO CENTER THE WEIGHT ON THE BAR.
