I was looking for a scope that would allow me to shoot targets with accuracy at 300+ yards with a Savage .308 target rifle with a stainless steel barrel. This scope is exactly what I was looking for: it had all the bells and whistles plus the easy parallax adjustment for various distances. It is bright, with no black rings around the eyepiece, though at the highest magnification, it can be hard to find your target without backing off a bit first. I bore sighted the scope at 100 yards and my very first shoot was right on vertically and 12 inches to the left of the bullseye. With 48 clicks to the right, my next two shots went through the same hole, in the bullseye. I was using a tripod from a bench and Federal Premium 168gr. Match King BTHP Gold Medal ammo on the recommendation of several competitive shooters. Leupold seems to change models with the sunrise, so don't know if this one is still available, but is worth looking for. It does what I wanted and looks good with my stainless barrel.
